(**(), I can understand cutting if off a couple hundred yards like to the north, but they’re going pretty far to the south.
As a runner, I think that’s overkill.

wait until the bike riders get their way and get their own lane across the bridge will the traffic stop until all is cleared
hmm, live 5 makes out like you can get through, & that this may actually involve some common sense
“security zone will reach from 200 yards north of the Ravenel Bridge extending south to a line between the Charleston Maritime Center and the USS Yorktown. The zone will take effect from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m”
“During this time, people and vessels will not be able to enter, pass through, anchor, or remain within the security zone unless authorized by the Coast Guard</font id=“red”></font id=“size3”>”
I interpret that to mean the Coasties will probably let you through if you need to get through

It’s just my opinion, but I don’t think closing that area for 2 hours for an event that brings over $18 million to our local economy is “so much for the land of free…”. Deal with it. There are plenty of other places on the water in the Charleston area. And I own a boat so I have a vested interest in the conversation.
