Charleston Kayak fishing New to area.

New to kayak fishing for reds or any saltwater/ brackish water fish. I am from Rock Hill, Sc and am a bass fishermen. I am willing to travel wherever just need to know where to put in, in order to get on some good red drum. What to use, where to go… thank you!

Try over by the Pitt Street bridge that area over there is pretty nice and they have a kayak landing. Also Ive heard that there are some nice reds there too. I moved here last year from Fort Mill, SC. I know what you’re going through. I just used a lot of different techniques till I found what worked best. I know the reds love finger mullet and fresh cut mullet.

Lowcountry Kayak Anglers meets monthly to fish the waters in the area. They have a board on this forum. Great way to meet new people and learn the area.
