If you can’t stand behind our soldiers, try standing in front of them.

I don’t know… It seems like that Chris-V guy can’t possibly have any time to work on boats b/c he’s always on CF helping people for free ;-p

Just kidding. If ('should say ‘when’, with a 1995 88spl Johnson) I need help, I’ll look Chris up… largely due to his generous advice here on CF.

I just got my SeaPro back from Chas. Marine. They did a bunch to it and it was exactly 29 hours from drop-off to pick-up. Incredible. Oh yeah, I drove it from Irmo just to let them work on it. I’ve been waiting to go offshore until ChrisV pronounced my motor fit for it. I’m ready to go now!

MarshMan - I know what you mean, I pulled my old whaler from Greensboro, NC (730 miles round trip) on two different occasions for Chris to work on it. I probably passed 50 boat repair places along the way but it’s worth the drive to know your getting treated fairly from a cost stand point and are getting 1st class service from them.

Can’t beat Charleston marine. I have a little jon boat with 25hp and was treated the same as if I pulled up in a high dollar boat with high dollar engine(s) on it.

Work done quickly, good price and done right the first time. Water pump was clogged not broke. Cleaned it out and tested it. I wonder how many places would change the water pump and say “yep it was bad and needed replaced” That would have been double the price.

they also have lots of goodies for sale too. lures, shirts, etc.

Chris V is definitely an asset to the boating community, both on here and his shop, Charleston Marine. He has worked on one of my boats and has told me things to do on my own. Good people and a class act.

I love them also and have all of my work done there. All of the above comments are true and they are just nice guys in general.

if they can get parts turnaround time is quick. If it is some oldball part that is hard to find that will be the only delay.

I won’t take my boat any other place. He runs a Very tight ship!

Not sure if I can say anything that hasn’t already been said. That is a top notch business and wouldn’t take my boat anywhere else. There are a lot of shops that are closer to me, but none I trust more with my boat.
