I just want to give a shout out to Charleston Marine.
I was having issues with my trolling motor and they fixed it while I waited.
They needed to change the mother board out twice, but Tyler got it done.
Thanks for the great service and work.

I have to second that. I had just opened Charleston fishing to post the same thing but saw you beat me to it.
Chris, Brian, and Tyler took exceptional care of my boat over the last 3 months. It started late last summer when my less than a year old Yamaha 115 began displaying an oil pressure light. Turns out that a ring failed and I needed a new power head which thankfully was under warranty.
Yamaha sent a new head that which had rust in the oil channels around the cam. I feel many places never would have noticed or would have simply slapped it on and sent me on my way. Chris rejected the head and requested Yamaha send another.
The second head came in with the same problem. Yamaha is now questioning the whole situation and sends a rep to Charleston in order to verify the rust. Sure enough, rust on the head just like Chris said. Chris orders a third head and requests that the warehouse inspect it before shipping it to Charleston.
Third head arrives and wait for it…yep, more rust. Turns out Yamaha has a manufacturing defect. Chris convinces Yamaha that I shouldn’t have to wait any longer and the only solution is a new motor. After it was all said and done, Yamaha sent a new motor.
Normally, the story would end there. New motors come with a 3 year warranty but I had a promotional 5 year warranty due to when I purchased my boat. Chris wanted to make sure that I received the balance of my original 5 year warranty on the new motor. while he was confirming the date, we learned my motor had been registered 5 months prior to when I purchased the boat. He called Yamaha immediately and went through the hassle of getting everything straight. The rep couldn’t even wrap her head around the situation. Chris had to explain it to her at least 3 times. I received my new warranty paperwork today and I will end up with 5 years and 4 months of warranty.
Finally, I thought (mistakenly)I had a problem my first day back on the water. Tyler says, "bring it in. I promise you won’t ha
