Charleston Nearshore Reef 061213

Checked out the Nearshore reef Wednesday. Anchored up around 8:15o or so with one other boat already out there.

We tried a couple of different spots but only managed to catch 5 that were over 13 inches.

We successfully released over 100 and around 20-30 of them were around 12 inches, but not quite there.

Also caught a small Spadefish.

I wanted to push out a little further but my dad wanted to stay put.

We had a good time despite the small fish left at 11:00.

did you seen any large schools of spades?

We did not see any schools of Spades or anything else for that matter. This was a rogue pulled up from the bottom hitting a piece of squid.

Cool link king. That little Spadefish was the only thing that pulled drag all day.
