Charleston SAFMC Meeting

I am planning to give public comments at next week’s SAFMC meeting in Charleston. I will be showing a SeaQualizer and explaining how simple devices like it can turn 90% discard mortality rates of deepwater species around to 90% survival rates. I will explain how the use of this gear to release illegal fish would negate the need to create more MPAs and help collect enough data to do stock assessments on Warsaw Grouper and Speckled Hind.

Please consider helping me make this trip by purchasing one or more of the calendars I sell to raise the money to be a self-funded fisheries advocate. I will include some postcard petitions opposing the closure of traditional fishing grounds like the Georgetown Hole with your calendars. Just get some signatures on the back and mail them in. They are already addressed to the SAFMC.

Thank you for helping me defend our freedom to fish and eat American seafood.

When is the meeting? I am going to get everyone I know to be there
