I am wanting to take the boat from charleston sc to savannah ga and stay the weekend. I think it will be a fun boat ride. Does anyone know the distance or the time it will take going down the icw? I have been googling it but haven’t found anything. All the help will be greatly appreciated !

Wappoo Cut to Beaufort is ~ 55nm and another ~ 35nm to Hilton Head. I never clocked it past Daufuskie/HHI but it’s not far.
I would love to run it via the ocean 1 day…
I have done the Charleston to beaufort in the ditch on a jet ski twice,its a cool trip.
So prob close to 100 miles? Alot further than I am was guessing. Think it would deff be a nice ride

I have done it many times, both inshore and offshore. Been in and out of every inlet in between. Sailboats, big fishing boats and skiffs. Nothing to it if the weather is good. In the ICW the distance is about 130 water miles, depending on where you start and stop. At 25 mph it’s a 6 hour trip. The ICW takes a lot of twists and turns. It’s a lot closer to run it offshore.
I live about 40 river miles upriver from Savannah on the Savannah River at Clyo, GA. We’ve left the Charleston Harbor Marina at 0900 and pulled the boat out in Clyo at 1630. I also once left Savannah in a sailboat and it took me 5 days to get to Charleston 
Ya never know in a boat.
My wife and I make the trip a couple of times a year. Sometimes we take it real easy, fish and swim, stop for lunch on Daufuskie or Hilton Head, dawdle along the way, spend the night in Beaufort, other times we just do it in one run. Any reasonable power boat can do it in 6 hours or less in decent weather.

We did a trip from Charleston to Daufuskie in July , took about 5 hours.Those sounds can get a little rough when the wind is up , be careful.
