Charter-quality fishing

Hey y’all!
My name is Jim, I’ll be moving down to the area very soon and really looking to learn about the area, meet new people make new friends and get to experience the low county life. We’ll be down next week for a week setting up the new house, probably down late sept/early oct for good. I’ll be running the boat down sometime in September and it will be docked at Sunset Cay Marina on Folly.
Offshore fishing has always been a specialty… I’ve been running charters as captain or mate for 25+ years up and down the east coast, bahamas and central america. Really looking forward to some hot offshore action off Charleston! We’re running a 34’ Phoenix, twin diesel, raises fish great, all the amenities including a/c and I enjoy doing overnight trips. Anyone that would like to jump on when we get rolling, drop me a note!

As much as I know the offshore scene, I’m going to be a little lost in the backwater and would be very appreciative with some help learning the ins and outs of fishing the backwater, shrimpin, avoiding oyster beds, etc. I have a couple skiffs I’m bringing down later this month.
Really looking forward to it! Drop me a note to email@jamestackle.com

I’m not sure that post read right… I am not looking to run charters, I just fish for fun now. If you can chip in for fuel, great… if not, no problem. I’m more about fishing than worrying about money.

get involved on this site and hit some of the seminars and come to some of the various events people throw or host from here…there are a few of us within 5 miles of your new location :))

Where are you planning on fueling up? SJ Harbor up the Stono?
Inshore on the folly, a 1/2 day well spent is cruising the rivers/creeks with a local to see the routes around the islands and the hazards too.
Are you’re moving to a home on/near Folly too?

hey Stickman, I say me and you “volunteer” to show him the ropes…I’d rather show him around the creeks than pull him off an oyster bed
just hope Mrs Bonzo and Stickwoman don’t find another partner in crime with Mrs Hurricane :stuck_out_tongue: we might never see them again…

Hey there Stick! Yes, just bought a house on Folly, I’ll probably be keeping the boat at Sunset Cay Marina. I am TOTALLY up for learning the creeks… I would hate to tear up a set of props/struts/shafts/transmissions. We’ll be down on Friday evening for about a week, mostly to start getting the house in order. Planning to run the boat down sometime in September if the coast is clear from 'canes.
Don’t worry Bonzo, momma doesn’t fish much at all, your safe!

Hey Hurricane, Shout me a holler when ya get here always up for joining someone … might end up working at Folly Beach soon so I would be close by
