Anyone know of a relatively inexpensive charter that could put me on my first mahi ever? Or maybe one of you guys may have room on your boat?

You can’t put inexpensive and charter in the same sentence buddy.
Maybe someone can get you in on a gas split trip.
That’s more so what I was hinting at haha. I don’t have thousands to drop on a charter. I’d be more than happy to split gas, bait, beer, etc… if someone wanted to let me aboard their vessel!

My suggestion would be to watch some of the Offshore Reports. Notice who’s posting. Try to strike up a conversation with some of them. Some will be more approachable than others. Once you get to know the guys and they get to know you, your chances of getting onto one of their boats increase dramatically. Selling yourself is tantamount to being included. I love people and I fish with all kinds, BUT I’d be reluctant to commit to fishing with someone I’d never met, especially if I were fun fishing with some of my buddies.
