Kind of late notice. But headed down to Tampa in late July to visit the family for s few days. I’d love to book a 4 or 6hr inshore trip. Along with fishing in the bay or somewhere on my own a bit. Can anyone recommend inshore flats guys for 2 or a bay boat inshore setup for 4? And if anybody has any info on fishing in the Tampa area
I caught as many fish as I wanted. I went during the colder months, so I caught reds, snook, trout, and inshore grouper. A couple grouper were keepers. All inshore and in the bay. Jason has a 24ft Canyon Bay, or at least he did then. So he should be able to handle 4.
Be prepared to do a lot of chum bat fishing. That’s what a lot of guides do in that area. Not my particular style, but it’s productive.
If you want to do some wading, I know a guy that does that too that I’ve fished with. But he wasn’t a charter then.
You can also get on the florida sportsman regional forums. Lots of info there.
Where will you be staying? I used to live there, so I know a few areas. Do you have access to a kayak there? You can rent them too. I know a few places that are easy access and great reds and gator trout areas.

Thanks, I’ll check those out. I want to catch some snook and gator trout, but the familys coming… and they want fish to keep and eat.
My Family lives in Seffner, so I can drive to areas around the bay! If renting a kayak is what it takes, I’m down, but I’d like to do some wade fishing on my own as well.

My wife and I fished with him on July 3rd. He put us on a bunch of snook and mangrove snapper, as well as a few jacks, Spanish, and even a catfish. He runs a 22’ Ranger bay out of the Ruskin area.
