There’s a tackle shop down here on Big Pine Key that has a deal on flourocarbon. If you supply an empty spool, they’ll fill it with any size flourocarbon for .25 a yard. I don’t remember what brand it is but I’ve used it before and have zero complaints and haven’t found it anywhere else cheaper. I’m going to get some of my spools filled tomorrow and will check on brand and what sizes they have. I do know that I’ve gotten 30, 50, 80 and 100 lb there before but I’ll update this soon with what’s available.
50 yards of any size flouro = $12.50

One in every crowd. Sad when someone can’t offer to help other folks without someone being a smartarse. So hears my smartarse comment, I don’t have any jig skinz but thought it is a cool idea and would’ve bought it if I had the need, now I won’t. Sure it won’t break your bank but every little bit counts. It amazes me how rude folks can be on this computer, most would not dare be that rude to someone’s face.

Maybe I should have said- Have you found this material to be superior to other brands? Are you going to offer free shipping if I want a 100 yard spool? What is the knot strength compared to Yo-Zuri or Seagar?
It just struck me as an odd post as to how this would benefit anyone involved. Knowing Rap is good people, I figured I’d bust a few balls.

Salty, a fella tried to make folks aware of what he considers a good deal. Someone who obviously didnt want any part of that deal was as you say a " dick" toward that guy. It’s ok for someone to be a dick to someone offering help but not okay for me to be a dick to a dick. Glad he helped you with your rod and he’s your buddy. I’m backing into my fore skin now.

The flouro is Berkley Vanish, I believe. I know there are better brands and whatnot out there but this stuff works well for me.
For those interested, that is possibly the worst flourocarbon I have ever tested. I made some bluefin leaders out of #80. They all had mainline failures around #35. Good thing it was on the bench when they broke, not the boat.
I will admit that was 2 years ago and maybe it is of better quality now…
