I’m not a doctor but this worked for me. Clean the area first. Then tie a semi tight knot around that thing with sterile silk suture string, then tape a 4x4 gauze pad over it. Change 4x4 occasionally. It’ll fall off in a few days.

Amen…tie it and get rid of it. But this guy might want to think about using 1/2" rope.
