How’d it go today? give me a report when you get in…Did you rig up the trolling motor? Dolphin and mullet, I’ve been fishing Virginia beach area for trout, flounder, puppy reds, blues and striper. I sure do miss those Charleston reds, though. If you guys don’t know how good you’ve got it, move away and do some fishing. Bassn, I think I’ve almost got the wife talked into another trip south…maybe labor day again?. Give me a call, if you don’t do Orlando maybe we can get some time off together-------------~<*{{}}><. hey, wish u where here too… I love the Kayak:smiley:. trolling motor setup worked better and faster than expected,so did the anchor trolley system. went to Bushy park to that area u got the big trout 1st, got one 12in. flounder on DD grub (thats what i’m calling it} right off the rip. Then eventually ended up with 4 sting ray(big pain,all swallowed hook:angry:),2 small catfish, and one 10in trout, and a couple of sun fried legs.
i got 1 broken rod, trolling to close to crab traps. Also got to meet Cutmullet, which was cool, kinda felt like i was out there by myself for a little bit. Paddled up into the back of little creek, and got my cardio workout when i came up on a couple of big Gators, i immediately went the other way, not over that fear yet.
It was a great 1st time out, looking forward to trying some other spots (going to try to get into beresford next) hopefully can meet up w/ some more of Ya’ll on here. only complaint is to move my scotty a little closer, i’m shorter than i thought.
