hey fog what was the temp[air] and the water temp when yall went on the tenn trip?? what depth did you catch bait at??
Air temps. were anywhere from 28 to 45 when we fished. Water was anywhere from 46 to 49 degrees. We never caught our own bait. Day 1 we fished spoons and umbrellas. Day 2 started with spoons, but Mike of Striper Slayers guide service observed me and Gary catching fish on spoons. He pulled by us and struck up conversation and gave us 3 dozen gizzies he brought from his house. On the 3rd day, our good friend Leon “Pinky” Barber had gizzies for us.
That’s the kind of hospitality you’ll find in the East Tennessee hills! Still, most of our fish came on metal.
