Me, my wife, and 9 year old son took out the kayaks this morning. Was on the water before 7:00. Missed a few trout in a Spook jr. big blow ups, but didn’t stick any. Bugs were awful and little man had a hard time battling them and trying to fish. He had something under a cork but didn’t set the hook well enough. Paddles down towards the inlet and got a bucket full of finger mullet with the cast bet. Fished the big creak coming from the Dunn Sound area and caught a nice Red with the mullet on a Carolina rig. Missed a few others but had a fun day. Tried to post a pic but the size is to big. Bait was everywhere today and a nice day on the water.
It doesn’t get any better then being able to spend the day on the water with your family.
