To anyone familiar with the Cherry point boat launch and surrounding marsh area, is the surrounding marshes fishable by wading, I want to take advantage of the high tides this weekend and am wanting to know if this a decent area to hunt for reds with a fly rod?
I’ve seen a couple of people out there doing it. Both sides have some good fiddler population on the sand flats, should hold fish I would imagine…

Short grass = sandy (more sturdy) bottom. Tall grass = up to behind in pluff mud.

From experience I can tell you that Bohicket creek pluff mud is quite unforgiving. So wear shoes that you don’t mind losing.
