25 degrees leaving the house before sun up. Started fishing about 7:30 just before the low at a spot that holds reds when the water is cold. Worked about 100 yds of bank; got impatient and started to leave. Cranked the engine, looked over my shoulder and saw the water boil with reds about 20 yds down the bank from where I stopped casting. Hooked two and landed one 18" red. Hit another spot. They were there, but had lockjaw. Back to some docks and got on 24" red under a float. Messed around along some grasslines and only saw one lone fish by a dock. Water temp 51 to 53.

I was stuck at work today!

Just got home after working in MN since November, much of that time in an unheated building or outside. It was -20 the day before I left. I’ll take 25 all day long, but thankfully we don’t need to.
