chris v boat leak question

From the “cheap seats”…

I chimed in because no matter how mad you are or what your point is, you don’t have a license to be a jerk, especially when it takes a codebreaker to get through that diatribe you type and figure out what the heck you are complaining about.

I haven’t met Chris yet, but he’s given some good information to me. He’s been helpful to everyone who’s been up front and patient with him. When I get another boat and it needs service, it will be going to his shop.

Like I’m4USC pointed out, a little honestly will go a long way toward credibility. Chris has cred.

The more we just complain…the more things stay the same.

Separate paragraphs and a couple more periods wouldn’t hurt. Your sentences seem too run on and change as you go, I know you’re just trying to make a point so I can’t be hard on you about that, but try to complete a sentence before you put another thought down I know how it is(I can be the same way when I talk, but it’s tough to do when I’m on a roll (especially if I’ve had a beer or three but that’s beside the point. And please don’t think that I’m insinuating that you have been drinking, because that is not what I’m saying. (I, on the other hand, have had more than one but no more than 6 (drinks/beers)as I write this) I met Chris V. a few months ago while I was out marketing for my business, he seemed to be a straight up guy. He even stopped what he was doing to talk to me. (Man, I hope that wasn’t your boat he was working on) Maybe I’m to blame for your leak problem! I hope not. It would make me feel terrible. Also the way I read your post, you didn’t pick up your boat, you had a " buddy " do it . How do you know he’s not giving you a line of s*** about what happened? I doubt it, but you never know. I’ll quit for now since I’m going off on a tangent and I just meant to comment on separating things with a paragraph or two, Maybe a period or comma every now and then, Oh, and before I forget, Check your spelling.
Thanks, Bob

Now that’s funny right there.

If you ain’t hooked, you ain’t doing it right.

fishsc19, don’t you think that’s just a bit of a leap. It is a valid question. There are major diferences in the thru hulls in a 28 carolina skiff and a 28 bertram. So he didn’t reply. I assure you, if Chris had read the post and realized that they had worked on that style boat for a similar problem, he would be the first to ask if that was the case and asked you to bring it in. I know Chris personally and yes, he works on our boats too. Most of the time when he’s posting he’s on hold while trying to order parts or talking to a manufacturer for tech or warranty support. If you’ve been by his shop, anyone can see, he’s just a little busy. Besides that, he’s truly an honest guy. Next time just ask him the question directly. I have had many emails and PM’s sent asking a question as a followup to a thread or one that I missed all together, it happens. Its fine to ask questions, and challenge things that you feel are wrong, but your tone seemed to question Chris’ integrity as a person. That is why people responded the way they did. Chris is not perfect, none of us are, but he is a good man. I know that he would make anything right if he was at fault. Good luck to you in your search for answers. I’m just a little bewildered as to why a person would come on a public forum to discuss what should be a private business matter, unless that person intended to inflict some harm by doing so.

In the boating industry for over thirty years.

Fishy, I have a fairly short tolerance for trying to muddle through impossible to read posts and post that are one massive and continuous blob of words get immediately skipped by me and probably lots of others.

Make new paragraphs when you change your thought or start a new topic in your rant. You’ll be surprised how much easier it would be to read and comprehend.

So while Chris is willing to give you slack for ranting in public on him, I’m not so willing to give you slack for attempting to make me run through the mine field of your post.

(See? Paragraphs really do work!)

This isn’t Chris V.com. If you have an issue with him call his business. He’s always taken the time to talk to me when I’ve called him…I’m sure he would do the same for you.

If at first you don’t succeed, drink another beer!!!
