I got stranded again when the battery would not start the motor. It started at the ramp but sounded a little weak so I ran it and it started ok for the rest of the day until it would not crank at all. It had 12v+ when I checked it but when I turn the key the voltmeter dropped to 10v when trying to crank. trim and gps work fine and another very nice boater jump started me to get me back to the ramp. I had the battery checked and it is fine. Is there anything I can do before I need to bring it in?
check that the connections aren’t loose.

Clean all connections at the battery and motor. Fully charge your battery. Put a volt meter on the battery while running, it should read around 14.5v while running. If not then you have a problem with the engines charging system. Was the battery load tested? Sometimes batteries can charge fine and drain quickly under any load.

you need to load test battery output at teh motor.
could be a cable issue
