Chris V or anyone with knowledge Twin Vee

I am looking to buy a 2000 20’ twin vee w/ twin nissan 50’s this weekend i have done the research and found that the hulls get water in them but it is a simple fix by resealing the thru fittings. This boat has drain plugs on each side and the owner mentioned this being a problem which is why he added them. Is there anything else specific i should look for? is there a way to tell if the wood is rotten inside? really needing some help here if anyone can.

Here is a thread with some info that may help.

The only way to find out if there is wood rot is to do core samples. We have 2 twin vee’s , one I been running for 13 yrs, the other one is a 2002 hull I think. if the water problem is in the hulls, there is a drain plug just for the hulls and we leave those open. We have had several areas where we had water intrusion, but was from gel coat cracks.

So did you get it? I saw a twin vee w/ 50’s being towed through West Ashley yesterday.
