Chris V t/t spanner wrench

can you tell me what to ask the snap-on or mac tools truck for to remove the cylinder end caps 2007 yamaha F250, I have the fluid, rings and seals, just need a way to remove/replace the caps with out the expensive one use yamaha tool?

I found an old sears 3" 1/4" spanner wrench.
and I ground down the pins to fit the cylinder end cap holes.
replaced the seals and o-rings, back in business!!!

sorry, didnt see this
they make a special tool for it
I have been 2 mechanics short
1 is coming back on tuesday, not sure on the other, he had to go to OHIO. 84 year old mother in ICU.
needless to say, with me and 1 other mechanic, its been a bit busy

I’m now at www.teamcharlestonmarine.com

I was hoping you were still on here.
I hope everything gets better for you real soon!!

everything is still going great, just getting a little backed up

I just replaced seals in my t/t. To get the end caps off…

Cut an old lawn mower blade in half through the center hole. (happened to be just slightly larger that the piston on the t/t.)
Carefully measure and drill two holes in the fork ends of the blade.
Insert small bolts (the right size to fit the holes in the cylinder end cap) into each hole.
Tighten a nut on the underside of each.

15 minutes = custom made end cap wrench quicker than I could have made it to the store and back to buy one. 'Works perfectly.
