Fished christmas day and the catching was good. Caught and released over 30 fish and kept 3 for dinner. The action was non stop for about 30 minutes. All of the fish were caught on lures. We live chummed to keep the bite going. Gonna be out there sunday for sure.
Where were you fishing? What lures? Haven’t been able to find the nonstop action down lake from the gap to back of hollow creek. Hear a lot of people are fishing around the Y and are catching them pretty good. How many keepers did you catch in your 30?

Good on ya DJ - Could you see squat on the water? Went over the dam several times today and looked iffy at best - fishin close to home?
Advice from my father–“Son, if you have to eat a turd, don’t nibble!”
I may get out tonight or tomorrow morning. I heard it is clearing up the lake. If phishinphan is allowed to go we are going out tomorrow in his boat. If not I am heading out in shakey tonight. If I go out in shakey I’ll probably go to the towers. I’ve found it is best to stay within trolling distance to a ramp, lol.
Towers have been very productive for me. Lots of bait and birds especially when blowing back. The fog seems to help the fishing keeping the schools up longer. Florida Boy you want me to bait your hook too.
I’m heading out tonight. I put a new starter on shakey and she fired right up. I think my 3 year old battery is running out of life. I am going to pick up a new one this afternoon.
Yea Tom - you ain’t got the best of luck with batteries! That’s for sure! Good luck tonight, went over the dam about 2 hours ago and you could not even see the towers! Be careful!

hey steely; you are right. you need to stay close to the bank. it is easier to paddle to safety. i am going in the morning with my son to do some bass fishing. we are going to put in at ramp three and work the deep docks and drop offs. hope to capture a few. good luck tonight.
I ended up getting five with one keeper (22") at the dam. Fog was thick all night. Good luck tomorrow coolbreeze.

</font id=“quote”></blockquote id=“quote”>Trying to be a smart @$$? Just seeing what others are using… Don’t need tips, got the skills to find them, just nice to see what others are finding success in… It’s amazing that you can catch them at the towers all year…In jan/feb/mar time the bigger 5-20lb stripers move to the back of hollow creek and we usually smoke them…pull free lines through a 300 yd area and just go back and forth…get 2+ pull downs each pass…Not sure why it’s so timely and not there for longer periods but I guess that’s the way it goes. When I first moved here in 99, dad and myself used to smoke them every night catching our limit or close to it. Not as easy anymore
