What might I expect to catch bumpin bottom with squid? Gonna try to troll some ribbonfish and stretch 25? Any mahi or sails or too shallow? Any help greatly appreciated, first trip to 60, anything over the sides will be great!!
Been out there one this year , several pin fish that i used for bait & some sharks. But in the past I have caught some nice grouper & BSB
BSB’s, white grunts, ringtails, undersized gag with the occasional keeper on the bottom. Always a shot at a cobia on top or bottom. I’ve heard of dolphin there a few times, but it’s normally a little later in the summer. Should be some spadefish around, so net a few jellyballs on the way out or bring fresh shrimp. A few Kings, spanish, and occasional false albacore busting on top The Cooper River bridge rubble seems to produce better bottom fish for me. Bring some chum. Good luck.
