chs 60

First trip to the 60; guess that was a 9 out of 10 for weather and waves; spoiled now!! The amount of life was amazing; brown porpoise greeted us when we arrived; baitball below the boat with aj’s crashing through; huge barracuda; tons of spadefish; flying fish; was like a fishtank!! Not much success on our part; a few bsb, ringtail, small shark aand some pogy lookin thing; we had much amusement trying to catch cudas aand aj’s and the spades; no luck; just glad to be out there; did weigh a 1.72lb bsb for the lca tourney but got bumped out; should have pushed out to the commanche or y73 with such nice seas; next time; good times, good friends and safe home!! 28kts on the way in, pretty good for my set up.

P.S. Dont do what we did!! While waiting at the chs maritime centernfor weigh in to close we filet our 4 fish we caught; headed to remleys to hit the trailer and DNR boarded us and fined all 3 of us 110$ each because he said he has no way of knowing if we had illegal short fish. What a way to cap the day.

Nice trip mitchellf550! I guess you missed the post below about Cleaning Fish in Fishing Discussion! Live and learn is the way I do it, but sometimes I sure do pay to learn!

yeah that sucks for sure

Bragging may not bring happiness,
but no man having caught a large fish,
goes home through the alley.
