I’m looking at a house in West Ashley that is on Church Creek in the Pierpark area. It is on the other side of the overpass. How deep is it the creek? Can a 18 flats boat get in and out with no problem?
When you say “other side of the overpass”, do you mean the opposite side of 61 from the river? If so, I have never seen a boat over there and do not know if you could get under 61 to get to the river. Part of my neighborhood is on the river side of Church Creek and there is at least one person that keeps a 17-18’ center console on his dock and uses it quite regular.
If at first you don’t succeed, drink another beer!!!

It’s on the other side if 61 behind the old grocery store. The house has a dock and a small lift for jet skis so I assumed you could get under the bridge. I have seen larger boats on the lifts opposite the Pierpoint landing and have talked to a guy who also has a Hewes that uses that ramp. He said the creek was deep but the mouth at the Ashley was silted in. Someone else told me the creek was too shallow. I think I may try to get the kayak over there at low tide and see.
I drive over that bridge at least twice a day and have never seen a boat of any significant size on the side of the creek where your future house is (Pierpont). That side of the creek should be deep enough but I don’t believe there’s enough clearance under the bridge. As for fishing that part of the creek???..catfish.
Thanks. I’ll have to break the news to my wife that I’m not interested since I can’t get the boat in or out.
I guess you are the same mooker82 that frequents ih8mud? Interesting screen name. Doubt there could be another Charleston boy with that name, but who knows.
I bought some tires off of you when you lived on Sullivan’s years ago if it is indeed you with the roller painted, spring green FJ40.
