I picked up about 30 nice clams from mr Tut at carolina seafood last week and want to make some chowder. not sure how to go abut it. do i steam the clams first to get the meat out or what. i figure penny can help with this since she might cook every once in a blue moon. haha
also; could use a recipe or two on these things. thanks in advance for the suggestions and help

so what? ha ha that is not what i am asking . i do not want boat stew. i want regular old clam chowder but thanks anyway. i do like the idea about freezing the clams and then they will open as they thaw. quit picking on me. i have feelings. ha ha ha.

You could use my recipe form last night…add some bacon or salt pork to it as the base…and taters…
