Never fished clark hill was thinking of taking a trip one weekend in the next month or so. I will have to stay somewhere. What area is close to the bait man and a ramp to put the boat in. I dont have a clue what area of the lake is producing stripers right now but I would like a central location to start from any advice would be great. Thanks in advance.

Stay at hickory knob state park. Bait man is off 378 on soap creek rd. Best bait u will probably find in the state. Make sure your tank is in good condition and clean. Heard he will not sell u bait if your tank is nasty and not taken care of, ask bomber…
I have only fished it once, but we were trophy fishing the top of the lake. Your either hero or zero up there. We got lucky and landed a 35# fish that day. You can use gill point as a landing to go up there.
Another option is to use the dorn ramp and fish mid to lower lake. Heard of plenty of fish being caught around modoc this time of yr or just get on the humps like on Murray. Brush up on your regs. They have different ones on the hill…

thru july and august the fish stack up pretty thick around the o2 system out from modoc --Hamilton branch is only bout a mile above and modoc campground is right in the vicinity of where you want to be —both have good ramps now–just look for em on the bottom in and around the channel --good bait at herring hut a few miles south on hwy 28
