Though we only weighed in a 10 pounder and a 3.5 to finish 8th in the MSC tournament, the phenomenal afternoon Gary and I had Friday made the trip memorable. We fished below the bubbles at Modoc with 50-60 foot downrods and spoons. We could do no wrong(except for Gary’s 3 break-offs:smiley:). We caught 30 fish at an average weight of 10 pounds! The key was the hydro generation at the Augusta dam.
All fish were released to fight another day and took off without hesitation! The o2 lines are great! We struggled Saturday because they didn’t start generating until 2. Lines were out at 2:30. Still, a great trip with my buddies. I wish Rick K had wet hooks with us Friday!
Good job James. How did the Express perform? Back to 100%?

Yes, I’ve been in the Express since it came home and it’s probably sturdier than it was before.
Fog, save one of those new spoons for me please. I still haven’t found any more like the one I’ve been using. I even got the fishing manager at Sportsmans looking for it this past Saturday, but so far no luck. I guess they must have discontinued them. Sooner or later I’ll find those spoons somewhere, hopefully before I lose the only one I have.
Don’t worry about it buddy. I’ve got plenty… The way those fish bite during generation makes me think it doesn’t matter what you put on em. Just needs to be long and shiny:)
