Clarks Hill Hybrid Study

I mistakenly reported tonight that the Clarks Hill Striper Club had decided not to join MSC and Striper Kings in the donation to SCDNR for the Hybrid Striped Bass study on Clarks Hill Lake. I sincerely apologize to the members of CHSC. David Richardson updated me to the fact that CHSC is indeed joining MSC and SKs in funding a study by SCDNR on the movements of hybrids in the reservoir. The radio tag receivers are already in place tracking Striped Bass in a current study and with the combined help of these three striper clubs SCDNR can tag and monitor the movement of hybrids. These studies will increase the understanding of the habits of both species and help guide the stocking programs of SCDNR and GDNR. Many thanks to Clarks Hill Striper Club and The Striper Kings along with the membership and sponsors of Midlands Striper Club for the continued stewardship of our valuable resource.

Good to hear. Thanks for posting, Jim.
