Clark's Hill Report

As promised, here’s a Hill report for yesterday’s tournament:

I have NEVER experienced the lower lake as wide open as it has been the last 2 times over there! Yesterday, we(Team Hardcore) caught at least 40 fish 21 inches or better with a lot of fat hybrids to 24 inches or so. Our big striper was just shy of 10 with our 3rd place 4-fish total an ounce shy of 30 pounds. Congrats to Team Nobody and Catchall with 34+ and 31+ respectively for getting the duke on us!

You owe it to yourselves to get down there sometime. Just put out the drift sock or ease around with the trolling motor and drop down lines 60 to 90 feet in the channel. Tap away and you’ll fill the box! We kept less than half of what we caught and couldn’t have squeezed another one into the fish box. The oxygenation system is paying off huge in the lower lake.

Fogman, congratz on placing…Is the summer night bite good over there too?

I have personally never fished over there at night but have heard that it can be good under the stars. You would probably need to take your own bait or make arrangements. I don’t think any of the bait shops stay open late around the Hill.

Congrats on the catch. I have fished the hill a good bit at night and have had good luck. Anywhere near the channel like fogman said will be good spots especially on big drop offs. Have done my best from horseshoe island to the dam. The latest hours on the bait shop that i know of is 7:00 pm. The herring hut

Crazy you guys did that good and so many didn’t weigh fish in at all. Seems like the fish would stack up around the oxygen system
