Don’t miss out on the Clean Marine Weekend, April 8-10 in the Charleston area. A host of state agencies and local non-profits are hosting the community event aimed at boaters and fishermen and will take place this weekend at Charleston area boat landings, marinas and Cherry Point Seafood.
The event is hosting 12 drop-off sites around Charleston County (6 marinas, 5 public boat landings and 1 commercial fish dock) for Charleston county residents to dispose of unwanted boating and fishing related gear and materials for FREE. Trailerable boats, trailers and engines will also be accepted (all liquids drained) at the Charleston County Landfill located on Bees Ferry Road for FREE on Friday and Saturday until 4pm. No tipping fees will be charged for people participating in the Clean Marine Weekend.
Volunteers will be on hand to coordinate collection on April 8 from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., April 9 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and April 10 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the following locations:
