Beat 1 sec team and that makes you a legit team?
Try beating 6 or 7 in 1 year.

SEC teams like Vandy, Tenn, Kentucky, Miss State, Missouri in addition to UGA and LSU? No problem.
saw a stat recently that top 25 SECs team have only lost 8 non conference games since 2011 and 4 of them have been to Clemson.
quote:Just guessing, but I think its more a case of beating a top 5 team that had so much expectation for this season. Doubt there would be the level of buzz about beating Vanderbilt.

I guess dabo is still looking for the grown men that play football in the sec, cause 2 of the last 3 must have been little boys.
So what you are saying is that you can only beat little boys by 3 points. At home.

Swinney tired of “Clemsoning” talk on 99.9 THE FAN.
Quotes from audio:
"It?s really kind of a joke to be honest with you. I think it was really poorly done by their part [ESPN]? the one guy who was doing the broadcast. It just gets old. It?s disrespectful to our players. I?ve beat this horse to death. There are only 7 teams in America that have been ranked 33 weeks in a row or more and we are one of them. To me that is consistency. We have now won 11 straight games against unranked opponents by double digits and only Alabama has a longer streak. We have won 9 out of our last 10 conference games by double digits. It doesn?t seem to matter what we do. Certain people have their own agendas. That?s just the way it is. We just focus on trying to be our best. I know there is a lot of people tired of hearing that [Clemsoning]. "
I see what he is saying but until someone takes their place…It will be there. Is it fair, no. but it is reality. Until one trend is replaced by another, the current trend is the current trend.

It is what it is!
I think I agree with Fritz, just not the way he said it.
When you win that many conference games by double digits and don’t go to the NC game, it does say something about the rest of your conference. I doubt there is any other team that can say they have that stat. If any team in the SEC, Big 10, Big 12 had that stat they would play in the NC game.
With that said, Clemson can’t help that the rest of the conference is sub-par. So all they can do is win and win big.

Hardly dude that stat spans over 3 seasons. Oregon lost 1 game, a conference game, last year to a ranked Stanford and didn’t go. Your argument would be valid if we went undefeated and didn’t go…
