My name is Josh and I am in the Coastal Carolina University saltwater club as well as a student here at Coastal Carolina University, and we are having our annual fishing seminar at the University building Brittain Hall on Saturday April 5th, 2014 between 9:30-4:00. The address is 125 Chanticleer Drive West, Conway, 29526.
This seminar will consist of a raffle ,with a Yeti cooler being our biggest prize, as well as different booths set up from companies such as Fathom offshore and Orvis both having products for sale at our seminar.
The main event is going to be local captains Capt. Brant McMullan, Capt Jacob ■■■■■■, and Capt Jeff Williamson all from Ocean Isle Fishing Center, as well as Capt. Keith Logan and Capt Joe Winslow. These captains will be talking about how they do things then going against each other in a rapid fire question and answer from our audience as well as and online discussion/webinar which is new this year. For those that can come we will be charging only $10 for entry and 5 raffle tickets for $10. All of our proceeds will go straight to the club for upcoming fishing adventures and helping the Grand Strand community out with our take a kid fishing event later this year as well as other volunteer opportunities. FREE LUNCH PROVIDED!
As a club we take in college kids that may or may not have any knowledge about fishing and teach them and provide opportunities for them to learn as much as possible from conservation to actual fishing techniques. We fished in SKA tournaments ,before all this happened last week with the SKA, with our captain ,Joe Winslow, as well as a College kayak tournaments along the south east for some inshore action too.
