Cobia 220CC

Took this Cobia 220CC out of the Freedom Boat Club in New Smyrna Beach yesterday. Great boat, Just paid $24 for fuel. Tried to fish but the 3 footers turned into 4-5 footers pretty quick and the wind picked up.

I’d rather fish than eat.

I bought one last fall. Finally had a chance to get it in the ocean last week. Ran out to 100’ and back and around. Burned 30 gallons. I have a 200 vs the 150s Freedom Boat Club puts on them, and the 200 seems right. Overall, I really like the boat. Does everything I hoped it would do.

The way we travel around SC and Florida the FBC is a better deal for us plus we can use a variety of boats without having to tow anything. Next week we will be in Bradenton Beach FL and I’m taking some buddies offshore in a 23’ Key West CC with a 250 Yamaha.

I’d rather fish than eat.

Will these boat clubs let you take a boat out for a full day of fishing? Let’s say 6am to 5pm?

Stella Blue

The hours are seasonal for most of the clubs. Late spring to early fall is sunrise to sunset. I have a reservation for a bay boat on Tampa bay tomorrow from 8am to 8pm but I know we won’t be out that long. Call them.
