when does the cobia bite start and when they come do they usually
swim the beaches or do they stay around the jetties…they usually swim the beaches at the gulf and at cape canaveral they get on big long coarl reefs never really fished for them in charleston.

Cobia come in when the water hits 70-72 degrees. You are not going to find them “cruising” like you do in Florida around the rays. The sounds ( Port Royal/St. Helena) hold a lot of fish along with all offshore structure in 30-120 ft. from late April-mid-July.

They do cruise around the big rays here, but it’s just typically too deep for you to see.

Yes they do. They also cruise with turtles and sunfish.
