I heard that Island Kayaks has one of these boats in stock. Has anyone gone over for a test ride yet? From everything I’ve read they are suppose to be one of the best designs for fishing. I’ve paddled another cobra model and was reeally impressed with the handling.
I’ve read a lot about this model and the basic scoop is:
They’re the most stable yak out there.
Lots of storage space
Heavy (>70lbs)
Slow
It depends on the type of fishing you’re going to do. If you want to cover water, this probably isn’t the right yak. If you’re just looking at some short paddles to the fishing area, it might be the one for you.
