Doug, was Connor there? I remember the NCAA trips back in the 90s and the excitement on campus…

Some of the assistants made it over to shake hands because they know how to act after a big win, the head coach had to stand at mid court hugging one of his players

After being released, a lot of fish die, but a lot of them live also.

Yes he was, he has become a big basketball fan.

As for you Fritz, I haven’t posted back at you in a long time. Now I remember why. Have a good one.

“Apathy is the Glove into Which Evil Slips It’s Hand”, but really, who cares?

Society is headed in the wrong direction anyway, let’s throw out sportsmanship as well. Tell me honestly how many times you’ve seen head coaches NOT shake hands after a game. Are we going to let it slide since it’s a historic moment? nevermind you already said since it was an emotional win he gets a pass. That’s fine, I say it was bad sportsmanship. Agree to disagree.

Always love the underdog.

Cougars were the preseason favorites
Conference champs
no 1 tournament seed
And beat NE twice during regular season

I was refering to them making the dance. Are you obsessed with disputing me?

I was pointing out, like Fritz, they weren’t underdogs
I was responding to the post not you. Nothing personal

Be happy for the kid. He is a really a genuinely nice guy and down to earth He had a lifetime moment. I can promise the nE coach wasn’t offended. He wanted to be with his kids too

And hope you will continue to pull for this great group of kids

You know I am. Sapakof wrote in the paper today that Grant shook everyone’s hand in the building, I snickered.

I snickered when you said ‘Sapakof wrote’. He is a pitiful writer. And bandwagoneer. Did he have any Bill Murray quotes?

I think its sad how poorly the P&C covers local teams, The College, CSU, Citadel, Sting Rays, Battery and the high schools.

Coach Grant was swarmed by several players and then got surrounded by the students/fans swarming the court. After attending the official festivities organized by the CAA, he and his staff made their way into the Northeastern locker room to congratulate the coaching staff and the players. There was no lack of sportsmanship, no classlessness, no evil intent. Just an emotional outburst by players, fans, and coaches at the end of an unbelievable comeback. Coach Grant is one of the most gracious and classy coaches you’ll ever meet. Couldn’t be prouder of my Cougars.

But that’s good to hear that after the fact, Coach Grant pulled a Dabo and went into the other teams locker room to “congratulate” the Northeastern team. What exactly did he congratulate them on, blowing a second half 17 point lead?

Someone stepped in it and got called out. Lulz.
