Recently, most of the creeks that I fish have had water temperatures in the 48-49 degree range. Been seeing a few dead Trout. Not sure if they are from cold or release mortality. Anyone else seeing dead Trout?
Hate to hear that. If you don’t mind sharing, what general area are you seeing the dead trout? I have heard of one other dead trout seen. We have caught a few trout in the creeks off the Cooper as recently as last weekend. One of them had a skin lesion on the side, probably from cold water stress I believe.

This is the critical month as far as water temp. is concerned. I don’t like these sub freezing nights in Feb. It’s crap shoot at best. Not unusual to get a bad coastal storm around Valentines day. Praying for a mild month.
