But the fish were on fire went out about 7am and the first spot I hit second cast 22" trout put 9 more in the boat before 8:30 all over 18" moved to the next spot and caught 14 reds they ranged 14" to 21" all were released to fight another day. I have to say I learned a few tricks in Lousiana that seem to work in SC that along with my new favorite lure the Voodoo shrimp made for a good day was back at the house by 11am
How did you fish the voodoo’s and what color were they? I just picked some up and can’t wait to use them.
I use the natural and the white with chartruse tail and also have some pink I find that the 1/4 ounce seems a bit light so I put a splitshot about 8" up and fish just like a normal jig bouncing along the bottom. I found these a month or 2 ago and I will tell you flounder love them and now that the water has cooled the trout are hitting them hard as well.
