Anyone ever fished Colonial Lake or the pond across from the marina downtown on Lockwood? Thinking of going soon and was wondering if anyone has had any luck
they’re both fed by the harbor, underground through pipes?.I’ve heard stories of flounder/reds being caught in Colonial Lake and I’ve seen lots of mullet in the lake across from the City Marina. But that was during the warmer months.
Plenty of flounder caught on the incoming tide when the water starts to flow right at the pipe. I’ve also witnessed some really big reds swimming in there and sat and watched them crashing mullet at low tide one day.
There used to be a kids tournament in Colonial lake and I actually fished it a few times.

water was really low on Wednesday…( yes, I was there at low tide…).
