Left Charleston at 4 in the morning with a bunch of clousers headed to columbia for some wade fly fishing. Geared up and was in the river by 6:30. Waded to a spot I like and fourth cast, WHAM, a knuckle buster. Fish takes a 200 yard run and gets deep into my backing. Managed to get his head turned and the 10 minute battle of getting my fly line back began. My buddy helped me land the fish and it was a 10-12 lb striper, first of the year for me on the fly. We snap a pic, release the fish and get back over to the spot where I had just hooked up. Four casts later…WHAM…another knuckle buster, think I would have learned the first time but no. 10 minutes later and another 10-12lb fish. Release the fish head back to my spot and WHAM, fish on again, this time a 7lber or so. I call the rest of my buddies over to cast at my spot and everybody starts hooking up. We ended the morning with 21 stripers and 1 small mouth. A hell of a morning!! Back in Charleston by 12. Pics to follow soon.

Sorry for the blackout but the pictures would reveal exactly where we were fishing and the spot is small where we were catching the fish, probably 10ft by 10ft. Buddy is still fishing almost every morning and would hate to have 10 people in this exact spot.
