I am a salt water fisher down on Hilton Head but wanted to do some striper fishing and heard that the Combahee River was a good place to go. Anyone ever fish here? Any details would be helpful. Thanks!

PM Willy and see if he’ll open his Komona. He has posted good info in the past.
You need to stick to the Savannah River, sir. The fishery on the Combahee is extremely low compared to past numbers, and will hopefully be revitalized with a stocking program soon (thats what NEEDS to be done). The Savannah River has a great fishery, and they’ve gone to great lengths to keep those fish alive and healthy. We caught 12 right near the refuge last week on bucktails and live shrimp. And its a heck of alot closer to HHI.

Thanks guys. Looks like we’ll try the Sav River.
