Is the dnr doing the comorant hunting program this year? If so is it too late to sign up?

There is a time to NOT shoot them?? Why would anyone make a rule like that???
Word on the street is that there will be another program this year. I am betting that only the people that have been in the program the last 2 years will be allowed to participate.
I received my letter in the mail Saturday. It is planned to take place again this year pending final approval. The letter stated that only those who did as instructed and turned in their paperwork at the end of the shooting time period would be receiving letters. I would doubt they will open it back up to the public and hold classes again until they no longer have enough participants. I just ordered 2 cases of steel shot today.

Believe it of not, they are protected by federal law. SCDNR has to get Federal approval to have the eradication program.
