CFD is expensive… but if not for CFD I would not have caught the fish, that got me gift certificates, to to get a new rod, that helped satisfy my CFD:smiley: and of course I have to go fishing just to check out the new stuff! sooooo… I guess its off to the fort for another meeting.

Had a real good time fishing with friends today, got some blues, some whiting, a flounder. 12-footer got himself a super-nice set-up. Good luck with it tomorrow.

Oh yeah, believe it or not , I got spooled today. Yes, that’s right, spooled. Bait rod went off, reeled in a small whiting and was rebaiting the rod. Heard a snap, looked up and saw one of my rods going back. Figured something pulled and broke off at the leader. Didn’t see any line out, thought ok, broke off at the tip. Went to the rod, reel was empty. Something hit hard on the run, spooled out 200 yards of 20lb cajun. Never saw the rod bend or heard the drag go. Indy was right there, didn’t see or hear anything.

waves were crashing, really not paying attention to the other rods at the time. Like I said, both Indy and I never saw the rod bend or the drag go off,rod was straight up, just heard a snap and saw the rod come back. Spooled it the knot and broke the knot off. I really don’t know what is was, I honestly don’t think it was a shark. It hit hard on the run and never looked back

I got my new 10’6 rod in today. Wow what an awesome rod took it to the ball field before work and it will cast a 2 oz plug miles.
