Saw this on my news feed on Facebook. Apparently this is on the door at Backstreet Pub in Clemson SC. I’ll probably never even be near there but since I’m one of the douchebags he is talking about I figured I’d pass this along.
Yep, that will certainly stop a criminal from carrying a weapon into the bar. No doubt about it.[:0]
Obviously, they have a right to prohibit weapons but they also, obviously, don’t realize they are telling those who might do harm that no one in there will resist or cause problems during a robbery.
The owner(s) need to pack up there show and move somewhere more liberal, this sign might drive their business. Clemson is not the kind of area to post that sign and expect to keep business coming through the doors. I guess it will be avoided by most until it goes belly up.
Yelp, and others have already hammered the living crap out of them. The sign is down…however, the refusal to go there is still underway. Word on the street is that their food and service sucked and there are numerous fights there.
Umm, you gonna eat that?

Wow, you’d have to be a complete moron or want to commit business suicide to post a sign like that…especially in the South. If you don’t want guns in your place of business fine, but why alienate gun owners in the process?
I have no plans to go to Clemson anytime soon (unless the judge sentences me to time there) but if I was, I’ll be danged if I would ever drop a dollar in that joint. He deserves to go out of business.

I can see past not wanting guns in a private establishment and post the sign, but to call me </font id=“red”>a douchebag makes it proof positive that I would never do business with backstreet pub.
Am I the only one who would never pay attention to a sign like that anyway? The point of a concealed weapon is that it’s concealed. Out of sight, out of (their) mind.

Reel Tight is right… you are not legally compelled to obey that sign. There are guidelines concerning the correct signage if you don’t want concealed carry in your business. I wouldn’t be going there anyway…
According to a interview with this guy, he was against the new changes with the CCW laws that allowed one to carry into an establishment that serves alcohol. His reasoning was that he didn’t think someone carrying a weapon should drink… Duh!! The law stipulates you can not consume alcohol while carrying!! Typical libtard… And it’s comical to read the comments on Yelp from his libtard faithful defending him and talking trash about all of the “gun nuts” who are ruining his business because he wont allow them to carry… Again, Duh!! No one would have batted an eye had he simply put up legal signage and moved on, but no, he had to insult gun owners, so they struck back…
