Sorry about posting on this part of the site. I am on the site all of the time and figured I’d throw out our place for rent to my fellow anglers.
We own a 2 Bd/2.5Bath condo at Mariner’s Cay on the Folly River and have leased a 30’ boat slip for the summer. If anyone is interested in renting the condo, the boat slip is free for your use. Would be a great opportunity in the summer to fish your butt off and not have to worry about putting boat in and out on a landing. You can see the north end of kiawah (boat accessible beach) from the condo. The complex has a pool as well and our unit is recently updated with brand new furniture. Slip includes power and water as well.

If you own a condo there, you ought to buy a slip while they are going for cheap. Check the classifieds.
Thought about buying one, but still 25-28k… Just the monthly regime fee, insurance, and prop taxes end up being about the same I rent for per month without coughing up 28k. And, come nov I drop the lease (it’s month to month) so I don’t have to pay for it when I am not using it. Definitely thought about it. Renting made more sense at this point.
Either way, the condo is in top shape after 4 weeks of work and minor renovations. All set for fun and sun!
I live 1.5 miles down the road. Was wondering myself about rent v. Buy. Have concerns about regime risk, how u keeping bottom clean there for 8 mo or so?
U probably know one sold at Sunset recently for 18k.

Stickman, I am renting the unit week to week (or longer if desired) but basically as a vacation rental. My boat is not there, although I may go down for a weekend here and there between renters or in the fall.

I can’t rent for any weekends until september. Weekly has some availability left in july and august. Early fall would be a great weekend get away with some killer fishing opportunities and no hassle of the boat ramps.
What’s your wail. I will send you some dates that we may be interested.
