Met with Jerms one night last week to go over some fly tying. Jerms had talked to me about wanting to tie in the past and decided to take the leap. His first fly was…a little hard to tie on the end of his leader. However, his second and third attempts looked pretty damned fishy. So, with the newly tied flies in hand we hit the water to see if we could feed them to some trout. I think it may have been his first cast with the first fly he had tied, he lands a trout and continued to do so throughout the fishing trip. So, congrats to Jerms on catching his first fish on one of his own flies.
