Don’t get me wrong. I’m not saying Jewel is ugly. I’m just saying that if I was single and she wasn’t famous, I don’t think I would hit on her before 1am.

Most people that actually know me and the friend network that I used to roll with can verify that Jewel (on looks alone) would fall to "average" status very quickly.

Also, I did leave myself an “out”… I said that I “don’t think I would”… :smiley: There would have been a possibility that Jewel could have went from a 6.5 to an 8 after a few strong drinks back then which might have “triggered” me… I don’t drink like that anymore though.

In my college days, I’d agree with you. Nowadays, yeah, she’s way better looking than the average girl walking down my street. You also have to take into account that she’s close to 40 by now If not older, so she’s holding up much better than average.

I’d be perfectly happy…

Okay, yeah, I will give you "for a 40 year old" she is "holding up well"... I can't really argue that...

But, was she any “hotter” in her 20’s? Whitehurst is 34. He could easily date a 20-something year old.

And, Fritz first posted that him dating Jewel was “pretty cool”. And YES, if the only claim is “pretty cool”, then I will agree with Fritz to some extent on THAT, because dating a famous singer who is at least somewhat attractive probably is “pretty cool”. But, my point was it’s only “pretty cool” because she is famous, not because she is “hot”… He might not have meant that and I will instantly concede on that if he didn’t, but if you can have your pick of thousands of chicks, why go for one that’s famous but not hot?

If he was dating Rosanne Barr who is also famous, would we still consider that “pretty cool”? It would definitely be pretty interesting.
