I have a 1999 27 Contender with 225 OX66 Yamahas - it seems as though the gremlin for this boat is the steering!! In the past 2 years I have replaced the helm and rebuilt both motor cylinders. Just wondering if the steering should have a positive stop when turning hard left or right? As it is now, the motors will get the the end of the cylinders but you can continue to turn the wheel (harder) but you can continue to turn??? I have looked for a fluid leek and see absolutely no fluid?? Any help would be greatly appreciated? Thanks

Hey Chris is this something that I should be able to do? Not sure what the heck is going on but, I bleed it out and a few months later - boom! I’ve been hanging a bleeder bottle on the steering helm for two days, just to see if that would help? Got time to bleed the steering on a Contender?
