I am excited. They should be moving with cold snap. My property came out ok from storm. My right hand man cleared all the trees that fell over road. Be in woods all weekend.
Hope the follow up report is good.
I plan on being in the woods all weekend too! Be safe and good luck!

Wife and I scouted around last night and saw a lot. Going to put out Corn after I plant a row of Kale. Have 3 others joining me tonight. This cool snap sure is a nice break from the heat. Plan on using a doe tag if things cooperate, I’ll leave the horns for others… unless I see something that really needs culling.
saw one young buck and 4 does last night. This morning got at 6:10 and got out at 10:20.
natta. when I GOT OUT OF BLIND ONE SONRTED AND RAN AND A DOE FOLLOWED.NEEDED TOS TAY 10 MORE MINUTES:(

Seen 10 Does ( slickheads ) and two Bucks driving in. Killed a nice fat Doe about 7:30 am, and back to the truck at 9:30. Didn’t hardly break a sweat. Then seen another Doe driving out to the main road about 9:45.
only saw a little buck this PM. He followed the urine scent I put out right up to my stand

Saw a young 6pt chasing a doe (who had a yearling with her) Saturday morning. Wouldn’t have shot the buck regardless but the does was doing Mach 2 when she came by so I couldn’t get a shot at her. My Saturday evening hunt was cut short (I did see a spike) because a buddy shot a 186lbs 8pt and he needed help getting him out. I was glad to help. He’s new to hunting and to see his excitement was worth it.
I hunted Sunday too. Didn’t see anything in the morning and then my evening hunt was cut short again. My best friend shot a doe AND his first buck so I helped him track both and drag them out of the woods. Again, well worth it, in my eyes. All in all, it was a great weekend and I think it’s only going to get better over the next couple of weeks.

I took a cull buck Friday evening on a Bonneau Ferry draw hunt. They were certainly moving.
